I am so proud of him. He has worked so hard for the past few years trying to reach this goal. After graduating from the fire school he went on to work seasonal positions with the Park City Fire Department. While working there he applied to a number of different departments and made it to the top 5 with most of them. Unfortunately do to the economy each department held of hiring because of financial budget cuts. I am so happy that all of his hard work has paid off. He just picked up all of his equipment and is ready to start shifts after his training this Thursday.
I am a little sad because now me and Maddix will have to get used to spending less time with daddy. He will start with 24 hour shifts and then move to 48 hour shifts.
Is anyone up for a sleepover when I get scared???
