Our Summer in a wrap.... Ok a really LONG wrap
Trevor's paramedic graduation.
I am really so proud of him. School was so crazy for him. He had 80 weeks and not a lot of time to study for the many, many, many tests he had. He can manage stress better than any person I have ever met. Congrats to my awesome hubby. Thank you for all that you do for your little family.
St. George Trips.
St. George Trips.
We went on a few fun tips down South. I can't find the pictures so I will have to make another post just for that.
BBQ'S with the family up the canyon.

My favorite part of Summer are times spent with family around a camp fire. Trevor's broken ankle has held him back this Summer. Those crutches were seriously hated by him:)
He had surgery in July and has had a lot of physical therapy. He had to take 1 1/2 months off work just to be sure it was completely healed.
A broken ankle isn't easy on an active Fire Fighter. I am so glad he is back to doing what he loves.
Our Trip to CALIFORNIA
We started our trip in L.A. to visit my sister Andee & her husband Heath. I miss my sister more than she will ever imagine. It's hard having your best friend so far away.
It was so great visiting with them. We packed a lot of fun in for just the few days we had.
Here is our L.A. visit
The Dodgers Game...
Maddix loved it. He loved the cheesy pretzel, the noise and the clapping. I don't know how he fell asleep in all that noise. I LOVE baseball games... another Summer favorite.
HOLLYWOOD BOWL
I have always wanted to go the the Hollywood Bowl. It was an amazing night spent listening to great music and cuddling up to the man I love. Planet Earth Live played on a huge screen while the Los Angeles philharmonic played. It was Amazing!!!
The only bad part was trying to leave. We were literally trapped in our parking spot for 45 minutes. If you ever go... Pre-pay for parking online it makes all the difference.
Studio City
This is the town where my sissy lives. It is such a fun diverse town.
We spent a morning at the farmers market. Madd loved the petting all the little baby animals. I loved watching all the start shopping for their organic food. If you want to spot start head to the Studio City farmers market.
We then headed to Studio Walk. An outdoor mall with so much to look at.
Thai Town.
Where else can you buy a Gigantic bag of MSG.... quail eggs in a can, raw fish that's a little stinky... I love L.A. for this reason. It has about every type of town. We only had time to get to Thai town but we had fun exploring all the diverse details.
Griffith Park Observatory
This place is packed with a ton of knowledge. If you are in L.A. you need to check it out. Not only does it have a lot to look at and learn from it has an incredible view of the city.
Madd is into giving "bones" so when he saw a statue of Einstein he had to give him bones.
Mountain Biking in Hollywood
Trev was still in a giant boot and still on crutches so he missed out on this fun mountain bike ride. Me and my brother-in-law Heath made a last minute decision to head up Melrose canyon for a night ride.
So it was a little creepy in the city. I kept thinking some crazy person was going to jump out of the bushes and grab me:) We did get an amazing view of the city.
The Beach
There is nothing more peaceful than the beach. I loved watching maddix squish those tiny toes in the sand.
Solvang
I LOVED this town. We drove about 2 hours north of L.A. and came to this town. It is full of fun things to do. Miniature pony petting, lavender fields, dutch yummy food, windmills, beautiful buildings, fishing lake, amazing flower fields, wineries.... We had to try their town delicatessen called ablesceiver I don't even know how to spell it, they are this ball of pancake topped with ham and powdered sugar. Yummy.
Can you see the HUGE orange cat in Madd' stroller? We were in a shop and this cat kept hopping on for a ride:)
Our drive up the Pacific Coast Highway.
After spending a few days with my sister we rented a car and headed up the coast to meet up with my Grandma in San Fransisco. It is so beautiful. We stopped to see Elephant Seals. I can't even tell you how HUGE they are. We spent one quick expensive night in a hotel along the beach and then made our way up North.
Monterey Bay Aquarium
We met up with my super cute grandma. I haven't seen her in years. She met Maddix for the first time. I wish I she lived closer so that I could help take care of her.
San Francisco
We spent a day being serious tourists. Yummy food, amazing views of the Golden gate bridge, seal watching and just sharing fun times together.
It was so fun to be back.
My super Cute Grandma the Entertainer
My grandma Mary has always been a performer even now she sings and plays paino at a bar every weekend. I had so much fun watching her doing what she loves. I wish you could all meet her, what an incredible woman.
Two LONG days at the Airport
We literally spent TWO days at the airport. The first day we spent waiting on standby at the San Francisco airport for 11 hours, finally at 11:30 we took a rickety bus to a dingy hotel room to sleep for 4 hours. We woke up early and waited for another plane. We flew to Burbank met up with my sister for lunch, just to kill some time. We then got on another plane to Arizona and had a 4 hour lay over. Finally we got on the beloved plane to SLC. I don't think I have ever been happier to be home.....

Looks like you guys had a really fun summer! Your little boy is adorable!
What a fun and busy summer! That looks like it was such a fun trip. I can't believe how big Maddix is - wow. And congrats to Trev for completing paramedic school - way to go!
WOW you guys have had a BUSY FUN summer! I loved looking at all your pictures! Congrats to Treavor and his graduation! Can't wait to see you again!
That IS a long post! But so fun.
And congrats to Trev for his graduation!! YAY!
I loved the large bag of MSG....oh, you gotta love it! I can't wait to see you people soon. I have to admit, though, it may have a little do do with the fact that I'll be un-pregnant by then. :)
We wish we lived closer to you guys. I think Dax and Maddix would get along quite well! He LOVES little guys about Madd's age.
Hopefully, we'll be calling you with "the news" sooner, rather than later!!
Loved seeing you posting again. So great too see all the photos. You guys are a great family and you are part of mine! Loved being with you and Madds today.
These pics are amazing! What an adventure! I want a road trip to the West coast so bad now.
