The Sunday that we got home we had my cute little nephews over for a sleep over. They showed up all decked out in Fire Fighter gear and were ready with candy and popcorn packed in their bags. We watched movies all night and they had so much fun building forts with Trev. We woke up the next morning Trev had chocolate chip pancakes all ready for the boys. We thought it would be fun to take them to the park by our house. Xander the oldest who is five was jumping on the handle bars and swinging back and forth, jumping down and getting right back to swinging again. After about ten times of fun he jumped up to grab the bar again and missed it with one hand. He landed on the ground with one arm bent behind him. Luckily Trevor is an EMT an quickly decided that it was broken. Needless to say I am a complete mess in an emergency situation like that. I grabbed the boys (forgetting their shoes) and ran crying to the car. Here I was thinking we were the funnest aunt and uncle in the whole world and we end up with a broken arm. Luckilly he said he still wants to come to our house to visit. Sorry for the tough day Xan we hope that you are feeling better.

Sounds like you are the best aunt and uncle! Taking kids overnight is a GIFT to both parents and nephews! Even though it didn't end the way you hoped at least he will have fun memories to talk about!
You are in trouble AGAIN!!!! I am so sad!
YOU guys are so much FUN! You two are going to be GREAT, GREAT, GREAT parents! Those boys gotta think Trev's the coolest guy ever to be a Fire Man!
I can only imagine what you were thinking when he broke his arm...I know I would be scared to death, he being my nephew and not my kid. Then what is his mom going to think now. lol!! you poor girl! I LOVE YOU ABBIE!
Oh, that is sad... but you shouldn't be worried too much. Boys will end up with many broken bones etc. Tanner had that exact same Sling when he fractured his elbow... boys will be boys. You and Trev are so cute!!
Your nephews are ADORABLE. I love that they dressed up like firefighters for the sleepover. So sad about the broken arm:( I am sure he will forget the pain fast and just remember the fun weekend with his aunt and uncle. I am so proud of your new blog. You are so amazing! I am sure you are going to help more people than you will ever know! a
Im just givin you crap I totally understand! I just miss ya! You know someone went up to him and started talking about us and he had never met them and was so confused until I told him it was a friend of mine that blogged too. It's funny we are all in each other's lives and haven't seen each other in years or ever!
It sounds like they had a blast before the broken arm. Those things happen though and from what I hear boys can get a little crazy sometimes. You guys are great for doing so many fun things with them.
That was a fun trip! but too short! Wish you could of made it for Les Mis. Sorry to hear about the mishap with Zander. Makes me remember Lexi when she broke her arm the same way at the same age.
Hey girl, long time no see. Do you remember me, Erin (Langston)? Well now it's Erin Ricks. I was just thinking about you and your family the other day and the store your parents used to run in Midway.
It's great running into you, you should add me to your blog so we can keep in touch!

ok so I recognize that red phone booth AND those red rocks! So I am just wondering why you didn't tell me you were coming down here! We need to meet up next time :) Glad you had a fun visit though!
Your nephews are very lucky to have such a great Aunt & Uncle! And boys are so funny, after his arm didn't hurt as bad he probably thought he was so cool to have a cast and sling! :-)
You and your hubby make such a great couple!
Abbie, So cute your pictures. Man I do have cute boys! They had a blast with you and Xan has done great one handed. Thanks for all the fun you have with them.
