"Team Robyn"
My mothers day weekend started out with an early morning race. I ran the race for the cure with Trevor's mom, aunt's and uncle. This has been a tradition for the McGinty family for the past five years to honor Trev's aunt Robyn who survived breast cancer 4 1/2 years ago. What a great accomplishment Robyn! There were thousands of people who came to show support for family and friends who have had, currently have or who have lost their lives to cancer. I couldn't help but get emotional when I was running, each person in the race had names of people on their shirt who they were honoring. We were racing for Trevor's aunts: Robyn(breast cancer survivor), Michelle, and Kelly (who lost her life to pancreatic cancer last year) . For those of you who want to run it is such a great experience that also gives you a push to get yourself in shape and off the couch.

To all the mom's in my life:
I just have to say thank you to my mom who is not only my greatest example of a truly selfless woman but she is my very best friend who has always been there for me through every step of my life. Between me and my sisters having our daily talks with her it's amazing how she ever gets anything done. I am so lucky to have had a mom that taught me to love unconditionally, treat people as I would want to be treated, clean like a crazy woman, have true integrity, take people as they are,be a thrifty little shopper and to have a giving heart.Every great trait that me and sisters have are passed down to us through our mom. I also want to thank my sisters who each have an amazing maternal instinct and who have shown me what it takes to be a great mom. And of course my mother in-law who has raised an amazing man who has been such a caring respectful husband. Thanks Jenny! And who can forget my girlfriends who are mothers, you lucky girls who can have babies so easy you are all so great with your children it's been fun to watch them grow. I can't wait to join the mothers day club, hopefully next year... Happy Mothers Day!

I know, I felt a little emotional too while running & seeing names on the back of peoples shirts. Glad I wasn't the only one. By the way I did get your text that day but I didn't have my phone with me & when I got home I passed out for most of the day. But I love ya & thanks for thinking of me.
Also, I predict you will be a mom next year. Come on, we all know it's gonna happen any time now.
Abbs,
It was way fun to have you go with me to the Race - It was great to share the day with you. Thanks for getting up so early!
I'm hoping and praying to for you to be a mom too, cause that would mean I would be a grandma. Thanks for being such a great wife to Trev.
Thanks for making me cry! That is such a great tradition I am really inspired! And you will make a great mommy soon, great things don't come easy is my motto! So this lil one must really be something
Hey abbie,
I think I am going to that workshop on Monday. Are you going? I will call you Monday if you are so we can meet up.
Abbie, So I did a little blog stalking and found you on my sisters site. I am glad that you are doing so well and that you had such a great race. Hope we can see you soon. Talya
